Our story
Salt & Whisk started, as these things often do, with a weekend market stall and a few too many loaves. People kept coming back — for the crackle of a good crust, the smell of butter and cinnamon, and a chat at the table. So we kept baking.
Today we're a small bakery in the West Country making everything by hand, in small batches, the slow way. Our sourdough is naturally leavened over a day and a half; our pastries are laminated with proper butter; and nothing leaves the kitchen we wouldn't happily put on our own table.
Alongside the bakes we make a small range of homeware — aprons, mugs, tea towels and totes — designed to feel at home in a warm, well-used kitchen. It's all part of the same idea: simple, honest things, made with care.
Thank you for supporting a small, independent business. We can't wait to bake for you.
